FOR THE BEST OFFICE POOL PLAYERS
The Office Pool Guy is determined to find the 150 best office pool players in the nation and then award National Office Pool Player of the Year Honors to the two that survive.
The idea all started as I was watching an Charl Schwartzel, a relatively unknown golfer, defeat another virtually unknown golfer on his way to winning one of the most prestigous awards in all of sports: The Green Jacket.
My first thought was good for him but then it dawned on me, is he really the best golfer? Is he really that good? I then remembered that one tournament does not determine the best golfer in the world. That honor goes to the golfer who consistently, event after event, proves he IS the best golfer. The PGA therefore has a world ranking.
So why not apply the same idea to office pools? How many times have you seen your office pool won by someone who finishes last in the next office pool or who only does well in one office pool sport?
To truly be called the best office pool player, a player must demonstrate greatness over the course of many office pools, using multiple formats and multiple sports. That person deserves a title…NATIONAL OFFICE POOL PLAYER OF THE YEAR.
So I am looking for 150 serious office pool players who want to prove they are the best over the course of multiple events. They will be a part of the OFFICE POOL CHAMPIONS TOUR (OPCT).
To succeed and get top honors these select few will have to:
- Qualify for the tour
- Pay membership dues
- Participate over a grueling 6 months of office pools
- Show knowledge over a varity of sports
- Have success in multiple formats
- Beat out 149 other serious office pool players
